"03/04/2021: We tend to use dedicated takeaways as the food is generally of a higher standard. That said we tried Yum Sing yesterday and the result was surprisingly good. During this period of lockdown hysteria they are clearly focused on restaurant quality takeaways with some extra choices beyond the generic."

Overlooking the scenic coastline and Portland Harbour, the Sandsfoot Gardens may be fairly small, but they are particularly colourful and fragrant, with rose bushes and plenty of flowers during the summer months. A coffee shop serving simple refreshments is available to one side of the gardens, complete with outside seating areas."

"For full-blown Victorian architectural excess, Knightshayes Court delivers in spades. It was designed by the eccentric architect William Burges for the Tiverton MP John Heathcoat Mallory in 1869. "While No.1 Polsloe does have some of the most Instagrammable brunches in Exeter, it can be difficult to work in as there isn’t much space – definitely don’t attempt to work here on a weekend, the queues are usually out the door!. But if you’re lucky enough to get a table then its a great place to work with really nice drinks – their milkshakes are super tasty, all around £3 each and they even have a vegan alternative. Sadly they do not have Wifi."
