The bottles in question lie sealed between two windows, untouched for two centuries due to an apparent curse. The last person to touch them was the original innkeeper, who immediately dropped dead."

The chips were lank and greasy and the fish was overwhelmed with a hard batter, though the tartare sauce was good, as was the beer."

"27/03/2021: We had an excellent takeaway from here last night, having been disappointed with the Indian Takeaways we have had in Pontleand. We moved here from South Shields so having been spoiled for choice for years, this place is the best we have had since. Chicken Tikka Pathia was beautiful, Garlic Naan was lovely (you could actually taste garlic, which seems to be a rarity when you order Garlic Naan's these days!), Mushroom Pilau full of flavour, and Lamb Rogan Josh beautiful with melt in the mouth lamb."

Consisted of formal gardens and a nice view of the Walthamstow Marshes, you would certainly feel closer to nature with the diversity of wildlife that you would experience in their place.
